10/21/13 weekly update!
Hey everyone!
This week was awesome! we were so busy! we taught a lot of people, it was fantastic! We have been teaching some inactives that have been hostile to the church for years, but they are letting us tecah them and they are close to coming back!
It's been so windy up here! Seriously like 80 mph wind, i feel like i'm about to be blown away ahaha. Its' getting colder and darker too. We're talking like 30 degrees all the time and its like dark at 7pm now. Its pretty cool. No Snow on the ground yet, but I hear it will be by Halloween, I can't wait!
We baptised a child of record for a family that is just getting active and getting ready for the temple. It was awesome. I love that family so much! THey are the Neffs. They are feeding us dinner tonight and I love going over there! Brother Neff asked us to help with the confirmation, it was sweet! The spirit was so strong. We were having a lesson at their house, and one of their girls was talking about the big picture of Jesus they have. SHe said she liked it alot, but, in her words, "That picture freaks me out when I'm alone down here sometimes." Oh my goodness we were laughing so hard! She is such a cutie. We took a good picture of us and the family at the baptism, but it was with her super nice camera, I'm hoping to get a copy of the picture tonight at dinner and will send it to ya!
I've been picked for some special family history training. The seniour couple in charge of the training really likes me and likes that i'm a convert, and wants to help get my family history moving. This is a class that is made to teach us how to help others, but they are also teaching us how to help ourselves. It's awesome. I've really caught the spirit of Elijah and can't wait to start seriously working on family history when I get home!
I'm excited for my birthday on saturday. The Jenkins family is feeding us, they are so awesome! They really love missionaries and when they found out it was my bday, they signed up right away. I can't wait!
Well I hope you are all well!! I have no pictures to send because i didn't take any. In Tagalog I woudl say "Ako po si Tambai." I will try to do better!
I love you all and can't wait to see you again!
Love Elder Pawson
