11/18/13 Weekly update!
Hey everyone!!
This week was kind of rough for us. We weren't able to teach any investigators! We taught a ton of Less Actives and some active members, but we weren't able to get in with our gators, which kind of put a damper on the week for us.
But we are seeing a lot of progress with some less actives, and they are starting to come back to church! We have been doing more finding here, which is interesting, but nothing has come from it yet.
We had a general authority here this weekend, to do some training for the ward councils. His name is Elder Aidukaitis. He was pretty funny, and had some great stuff to teach. He talked about how members have a responsibility to do missionary work, and it isn't all on us. They need to help us find people to teach. But then he told us that we also need to try to find people to teach too, as in, we work together, not seperate. It was awesome!
We had zone conference on friday, form 9-8pm. it was brutal not being able to work all day, but it was cool. We had 2 other zones with us, about 50 total missionaries. The three sets of ZLs did different trainings, and it was all pretty interesting.
Transfer calls are saturday, and I'm kind of nervous. I don't want to get transferred two days before thanksgiving!!! I will go where the Lord wants me to go, and I know I'll have a good time, so I'm not really worried. Its just exciting because its the first transfers where I might actually move!
As far as the pictures go, One of them is the temperature from today, its -5! Pretty cold already. The other pic is how they plow here. Because snow never melts until May, they can't just shove it off to the side, so they circle it up in the middle of the cul de sac. Its wierd. Eventually they will load it all in a dump truck and take it out of town. Snow is intense here. The other pic is Elder Springer putting his shoes on, but it cracks me up because it looks like he is doing a wierd dance!
I hope youa re all well and I love you all!
Love Elder Pawson
