10/7/13 weekly update

Hey all! This week was pretty sweet! I got to go on tradeoffs with the other trainer in my district. His name is Elder Nelson and people say he is my real dad, beacuse we are so alike lol. We got to teach a lot together and it was a ton of fun! We have been working with the active members a lot and it is starting to bear fruit. They are trusting us more and starting to give us referrals. They are alos letting us into their homes more as well. I guess the missionaries that have been serving here have been pretty disobedient and innapropriate, so it took a few weeks of super hard work and obedience to get us to trust them again. But it worked! They switched almost all presidencies after the ward boundary change. It seemed to be a generation change. All the presidencies are young people, and its very noticeable the change. The energy is up and people are ready to work with us. All the ward activities always center around family history, whcih is way boring, but the new relief society pres wants to get more "fun" activities, like dinners and picnics and stuff. They don't do fall festival here! but she is going to change that! I remembered my camera and sent a few pics with this email. I can only send 3 per so I'll send a couple emails. These pics are another pic of me, and a few with my trainer. In the second pic we are making alaska with my hand, and he is pointing to anchorage. Yea, people try to do the michigan thing up here with alaska, but it isnt the same! We saw our first moose the other day! I didn't have my camera but Elder Springer did and took a pic. he is all the way across the library so I will have to get that pic later haha. One request I have is that my trainer isn't getting mail. and it bugs him. If you guys have a minute could you write him a letter?
