10/28/13 Weekly Update!

Hey everyone! This week was sweet. My birthday was awesome. Thanks to everyone who sent me boxes or cards! I loved it all. I attached some pics from my bday. I forgot my camera but I stole Elder Springers. I had some other pics to send home, but they will have to wait I suppose. Melissa sent a birthday party in a box so Elder SPringer and I had a party with the other training companionship, Elder Nelson and Elder Osterhout. Elder Nelson is the missionary that everyone says is my real dad, he's the one in the picture with me and the Oreo. Thanks for all the snacks too Dad! We made orea shakes and I forgot how much I like summer sausage and beef jerky! All of that is way too expensive up here haha. The Jenkins family had a party for me that night. Don't tell them this but I think they kept us there way too long. we were there for a little over 2 hours, I didn' tlike it. But Elder Springer and I didn't really have a choice. They didn't start cooking dinner til we got there. But it's ok, We aren' tmaking a habit of it. We did some service for an investigator, we chopped some trees down. It was pretty manly, and pretty alasky. I liked it. I used some birthday money to buy a new set of carhart suspenders so I could not wear out my other pair, but the other pair broke on Sunday during church! that stunk. I got a new pair today that looks better and seems to be tougher too. Suspenders have really changed my life. We still don't have a new WML yet. Ours was called into the EQ presidency, and the ward has neglected to call a new one yet. Still no ward missionaries either. But we are doing fine. We work hard enough to make the WML look good, and President Beesley says that is what we should be doing. Hopefully the ward gets a missionary mindset soon, because our area is primed to explode with work! Well I love you all and hope you are all well. I miss ya!! Love Elder Pawson
